Stockland – Sydney

The Path We Walk reflects Stockland’s journey from past to future. It moves from ground stories to people, communities and sky stories, recognising that  growth is shaped through experience, responsibility and a deeper understanding of the places we create

Flowing pathways move across the two canvases, representing movement through Country, the passing of time and the many journeys that come together to shape community and place. Grounded darker layers speak to the enduring presence of Country, while ochre-inspired tones reflect the shifting light of sunrise and sunset on Gadigal Country. Layered lines, arcs and dotwork reference connection, development and the evolving relationship between people and the built environment.

Greenhouse – Salesforce Tower Sydney

Good Fire is a contemporary Aboriginal artwork by Tim Moriarty and Shannon Valantine of Dark Lightning, created for the Greenhouse Climate Tech Hub in Sydney.

Inspired by the practice of cultural burning, the work reflects the deep knowledge Aboriginal peoples have used to care for Country for thousands of years. Flowing forms and layered colours evoke fire, movement and regeneration, symbolising renewal, stewardship and the interconnected systems that sustain life.

Created within a hub focused on climate innovation, Good Fire highlights the value of combining ancient knowledge with contemporary thinking to shape a more sustainable future.

Macquarie Bank & National Museum of Australia

Tim composed this piece in a unique collaboration with Joel Davison, Gadigal man. My journey and investigative structure of sound and music explores a universal cinematic language, as it carefully walks and defines new territory as an aesthetic whilst uncovering and maintaining the authenticity and timelessness of our strongly kept culture as guardians of our stories. We are proud to explore different facets of voices in a traditional way through new media to be able to share our culture with diverse audiences
